This magnificent homage to milk was built in 1932 by the Guaranteed Pure Milk Co., a Montreal dairy company. It is a water tower which stands more than twenty feet tall but ceased to be used as such during the 1970’s. The ‘Milk Bottle’ is now somewhat derelict and graffiti laden, but continues to fight off the wrecker’s ball. It can be seen just below the south west corner of Mountain and Rene Levesque, hidden behind a modern skyscraper, as you walk down to see the Habs play at the Bell Centre.
